The Gauntlet gives business start-ups and community advocates the opportunity to pitch their business idea or community concept to a panel of judges for a chance to win funding, supplies, and business space for start-up or expansion. Its purpose is to provide micro-enterprises access to capital, training, and technical assistance.

It is a 10-week program that uses the DISC assessment to refine self-awareness and conducts a 360-degree evaluation of business knowledge in order to manage strengths and weaknesses in the participating entrepreneurs.
