Hollins launches new Institute for Entrepreneurial Learning

ROANOKE CO., Va. (WDBJ7) Hollins University is creating a new institute focused on entrepreneurship. The effort, leaders say, will foster creative thinking across all disciplines and help students “transform ideas into innovations.”

Karen Messer-Bourgoin will serve as the inaugural Director of The Institute for Entrepreneurial Learning.

“It’s not just about business, and it’s not just about venture-based businesses,” Messer-Bourgoin told WDBJ7. “It’s also about creativity, problem solving, creating solutions.”

Students will have the opportunity to work with successful entrepreneurs and organizations here in the Roanoke Valley, but also with leading organizations in New York and Bangalore, India.
