Gauntlet business program and competition now accepting participants

The Advancement Foundation in Vinton is looking for entrepreneurs who want to start or expand a business in the region. The fifth annual Gauntlet Business Program and Competition is set to begin Feb. 5 and is now taking registrations online at theadvancementfoundation.org.

The program includes classes on business training, mentoring, research assistance, marketing, customer retention and scaling strategies. Anyone is allowed to participate and classes are held once a week for 10 weeks beginning Feb. 5. Participants can choose to take classes at the Vinton War Memorial, the Humble Hive in northwest Roanoke, or Dabney S. Lancaster Community College in Clifton Forge. The costs is $45 per month.
